\u201eHow much does a wooden house cost with you?\u201c \u2013 this question actually comes up in almost every first conversation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And of course, as the builder, you want to know early on whether your own ideas and budget will actually work together. There is no fixed price per square meter, however; the houses simply differ too much from one another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a first guideline, you can roughly estimate the cost of an individually planned and reasonably equipped wooden house today as follows: 3,000 to 4,000 euros per square meter of living space<\/strong> calculate for the building. Depending on the architecture and equipment, it can be below that, but of course it can also be significantly higher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What makes a house expensive?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The design of the building is not necessarily the deciding factor in the price. What is much more important are the layout, the building form and the equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A compact building with a simple roof can be built more economically than a house with many protrusions and recesses, large glass surfaces, special roof shapes, and many special details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are also big differences in windows, home automation, facades and interior design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A house with 160 m\u00b2 of living space can therefore look completely different in terms of price than another house with 160 m\u00b2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speak up early about the budget<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

That is why it is important to me that we talk about money as early as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I don't like having to plan a house down to the last detail for months and then find that the final cost is 150,000 euros over the budget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If we know early on what is possible, we can also think early on: Where is an investment worthwhile? Where can we simplify things? And what things might be added later?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For me, the money should first flow into things that can no longer be changed without further difficulty: good construction, a decent building shell, reasonable windows and clean details.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A kitchen can be replaced later on; a poorly planned wall construction, however, cannot be replaced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What else comes along?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the actual house itself, there are of course other costs involved, such as land, planning, structural engineering, earthworks, home connections or outdoor facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is exactly why we prefer to look at the whole project rather than just at a price per square meter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For a first assessment, we don't need a finished plan yet. A first draft, floor plans and a few details about the desired equipment are usually enough to tell whether the project is generally heading in the right direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is better to talk openly about the budget at the beginning than later about a house that cannot be built in this way.<\/strong><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
