2nd solution – Design for the new fireplace head with sandstone cladding. From the construction site

Sometimes the devil is in the detail.

During a recent historic preservation project, it wasn't just about the timber structure. Details of the historic building also had to be preserved and expertly restored.

A damaged piece of sandstone in the cornice was replaced. At the same time, as part of the work, the existing chimney had to be adjusted and the chimney head rebuilt.

For the new chimney cowl, we took our cue from the existing design and planned a classic solution using sandstone. Details like this do not come out of a catalogue – they are developed to suit the building.

Especially when working on existing buildings, looking closely, finding solutions and preserving the character of the building are all part of our approach.
